Island vibes – Nusa Ceningan

Nusa Ceningan is a little island paradise right next to the bigger (but still tiny) Nusa Lembongan. Accessible only via a narrow yellow bridge, Ceningan is even more peaceful and uncrowded than Lembongan. During our yoga teacher training in the Village Lembongan, Ceningan was our little escape retreat. With Southern California girl Melody we would drive a scooter across the bridge on days off when we needed to unwind from the busy training schedule. Whereas the Lembongan landscape is quite flat, Ceningan offers just the kind of rocky oceanside cliffs that I love most in the world. Perfect for gazing the sunset and watching the surf.

If you find yourself in this part of the world, don’t miss these:

Mahana point: Restaurant and cliff jump spot on top of the rocks with surf break below. Sunset spot.

The Sand: Cute cafe overlooking the bay. You can literally walk across the water at low tide. Picturesque swing and hammock spot.

Blue lagoon: Crystal blue water with an abandoned cafe at the very end.
